This year, we introduced the “People’s Choice Awards”, which invited all attendees to vote for their favourite presenters. We’re pleased to announce that the following 3MT-style presenters have won!
1) Tamara Saez – First Place Winner, People’s Choice Award
2) Ronan Noble – Runner-Up
3) Meghan Sit – Honourable Mention
We would also like to congratulate our abstract winners.
Congratulations to our awardees and all 3MT-style presenters!
Thank you so much for helping to make WCHRI’s 13th annual Research Day a huge success! Our new interactive virtual format saw over 350 researchers, students and stakeholders networking, presenting and learning during the half-day event.
Innovative research outcomes, like the ones we learned from our presenters, are vital as we work towards ensuring a healthy future for women and children.
Keynote speaker, Dr. Cara Tannenbaum, delivered a fascinating presentation on tackling sex and gender in women’s health research. Her challenge to researchers to redefine criteria for excellence across the spectrum of women’s health research in Canada was incredibly powerful. View her keynote presentation on YouTube.
Finally, a huge thank you to our partners for making Research Day possible: the University of Alberta, Alberta Health Services, the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation. Without their support and investment in research, this event would not be possible.
